Boltrics’ App Platform extends your 3PL Dynamics application, enhancing your logistics processes. You have probably integrated it somewhere in your operations: as a drivers app for external drivers, for scan views, in your warehouse activities, etc. And, thanks to the latest update, this is now all based on an even stronger foundation. In this blog, we dive into the latest major version of the App Platform, v4.

Experience greater performance with the latest version

The App Platform is hosted in the Microsoft Azure Cloud to boost performance and security. It is also multi-region, meaning it’s available everywhere. Until now, you have worked with the App Platform v3. The newest version major is v4. The big new change is on the background, which we have rebuilt with the newest technology. This ensures that we are fully up-to-date. The App Platform v4 is faster, more performant and more lightweight than any of the previous versions. The good news is that it is already deployed, and you as our customer already have access to it. Do you want to test it and try it out for yourself? Simply change the URL of the App Platform to https://app4-latest.boltrics.com.

The new background information

The new version of the App Platform also comes with a slightly changed layout. One of the biggest new features we’ve made is the background information overview that you get. By clicking on the label on the upper right corner (see image below), you get access to a lot of data.

Here you will find the current ViewNo, as well as all variables that are active on this page. This ensures that you have all the necessary information directly at hand.

The new photo functionality

The next big change is the refactor of taking pictures. There are several important background updates that we have done. In the previous version, the pictures were directly sent to Business Central. Because of that, there was not much load possible. In v4, the pictures are uploaded to an online storage container, and Business Central can pick up the images/files from there. So it is a lot more performant, and even big pictures, or multiple images can be easily supported.

Please note, this photo functionality is only supported from Business Central v24 and higher.
